Wicked Nights (Angels of the Dark, #1) - Gena Showalter Gena's my go to girl for a light fun, no-brainer read, usually. I was perusing her website recently and discovered her religious testimonial. This caused a problem for me as it made me think, or more correctly, change how I didn't want to think about the books. I'm quite Ok with the paranormal aspects of the novels and even relish them. But now I wondered about the message, was there one? and this sort of ruined the easy light read. I'm struggling to separate the story from my newfound knowledge and feel sort of resentful that now it feels I have to.
That being said the book is Gena's style, smart ass dialogue, good triumphing over evil, true love conquers all ect and if you enjoy her you'll enjoy this (if you don't suffer from my little foible).
